What is Carpa?

Carpa is a Swedish association which is aimed at patients with tumors such as the hormone carcinoid, endocrine pancreas tumors, binjurebarkcancer etc. The association is also open to involved families and friends, for people who are involved in the treatment of patients, for research in the field or others with an interest in it.

What are neuroendocrine tumors?
Endocrine tumors is a collective term for tumors that produce internal secretion, such as adrenaline, cortisol, insulin, könshorm and a number of other substances. Cancer occurs frequently in the endocrine glands, such as the pancreas, binjurebarken, pituitary gland, bisköldkörtlarna etc., but need not do so. A large group is made up of so-called carcinoid, tumors on the basis of the small intestine or lungs.

Are you a family member or a friend?
Carpa offer support and assistance for family and friends of the sick in the hormone tumours. You are welcome to join both as a member of the association, and to sign up for our mailing list. New for this year is also our Carpa Forum - an interactive forum where you can easily come into contact with other family members to exchange thoughts and experiences.
