The association
Carpa is an association which is aimed at patients with tumors such as the hormone carcinoid, endocrine pancreas tumors, binjurebarkscancer etc. The association is also open to involved families and friends, for people who are involved in the treatment of patients, for research in the field or others with an interest in it.
Our goal
The association's main goal is to provide psychological support to patients and family members during the investigations and processes, and to disseminate information about the diseases, on current medical knowledge and treatments.
Newsletter
Carpa distrubuate the Carpa newsletter whith information about the association. Each publication containes at least one scientific article, often written by doctors at the ward of Endocrine Oncology in Uppsala.
Funds
Carpa has two funds, Carpafonden and Agneta Lundbergs rehabilitating fund. Carpafonden supports research in Sweden by awarding grants. Agneta Lundbergs rehabilitating fund distributes financial assistance to members. The grants are intended for expenses in connection with the rehabilitation and travels to and from medical treatments.
