Rules
The association will provide moral support to patients and their families during difficulties related to the diagnostic investigations and treatment of the disease. The association will distribute general information about these diseases, as well as information about new treatments, research methods, and other subjects that might be considered of interest to the patients and their families or to medical personnel.
The association support financially research programmes in the field of endocrine tumours. This work includes contacts with finance institutions, research institutions and possible sponsors.
A foundation, the Carpa foundation, has been established with the in tention to allocate funds for research work.
Agneta Lundbergs rehabilitation fund was founded with her enheritance as financial base. Its aim is to give grants for travel expenses and economically support for patient members. Application forms can be obtained from the cashier.
The association intends to act where needed as interface between the patients and their doctors, nurses and administrative staff in different hospitals, and between patients and medical personnel in different countries.
The association might, if needed, act on the behalf of its members to improve medical care or research facilities for patients with active endocrine tumours.
